Early Surf

I thought the site could use a refreshing picture, during these hot humid days of summer. This is a pair of sunrise surfers in the Atlantic, just off Pawleys Island. The water temperature there this time of day is actually a little warmer than the air temperature. The early sun turns the humid air into a slightly salty golden glow. You can almost taste the faint sea breeze from here.

Hey, get busy, learn something new, build a kit, experiment with a homebuilt antenna, subscribe to a good ham magazine like CQ VHF, go out this weekend for Field Day, bring your tent and stay the whole weekend, encourage a new ham to get on the Field Day station, help him learn and see the fun you can have with his or her new friends.
